Sr. Account Manager

Valerie Corekin Kagel, CPCU, ARM

Valerie Corekin Kagel is a highly experienced Commercial Lines agent specializing in helping companies with complex insurance needs. Her career spans decades, during which she has worked with a wide variety of businesses, from windmill engineering and international cargo to banking, law, hazardous cleanup, and cybersecurity. This diverse background has equipped her with the expertise to address unique insurance and risk management challenges with precision and care.

A strong advocate for her clients, Valerie understands that most business owners want to focus on running their businesses rather than managing their insurance. She takes the time to deeply understand her clients’ operations, streamline their insurance programs, and tie insurance costs back to business metrics. This approach not only simplifies the insurance process but also strengthens her relationships with clients.

In addition to her professional achievements, Valerie authored the insurance textbook “Insurance 101 or Why Do I Need This Stuff Anyway?” to introduce programmers to the insurance business. Her curiosity and passion for exploration extend beyond her work; she has lived and worked throughout the United States and is concluding a five-month cross-country motorhome journey, which has taken her through more than 20 states and counting.
