Workers’ Compensation for Trucking Service Providers

Diesel shops, tow operators, tire dealers, parts distributors and other businesses that keep California’s trucks moving have workers on their feet, under rigs and on the road every day. Arroyo Insurance Services – South Bay builds Workers’ Comp programs for these businesses, with competitive pricing, flexible payment options and strong claims handling.

Specialized Coverage for Businesses That Serve Truckers

Program Highlights

Repair bays, tire service trucks, tow rigs and fuel deliveries all carry real injury risk. Our program is built for those jobs, not only for office work.

Shop & Field Class Codes

Coverage for mechanics, tire technicians, tow operators, delivery drivers and warehouse staff.

Mobile & Multi-Location Operations

One policy for a shop that also runs road-service trucks, mobile units or more than one location.

Flexible Payroll & Payment Options

Monthly, semi-monthly or weekly payroll self-reporting, so premiums follow your real headcount.

Tailored Solutions for the Businesses Behind Every Fleet

Service providers to the trucking industry often get lumped into broad commercial programs that don’t understand their operations. We match each business with a carrier that fits the work its employees actually do, from a one-bay mobile mechanic to a multi-location parts distributor.

Save money and time by aligning with one of California’s finest insurance agencies.

FAQs

Does my shop need Workers' Comp if I only have a few employees?

Yes. In California, every employer with even one employee must carry Workers’ Compensation Insurance, including part-time help. Owners and certain officers may be able to exclude themselves, but your mechanics, technicians and drivers must be covered.

How is my Workers' Comp premium calculated?

Premiums are based on your payroll in each job classification, the rate for that class code, and your experience modification (ex-mod). Getting employees into the right class codes, for example separating shop technicians from office staff, is one of the easiest ways to keep costs under control.

Can one policy cover my shop and my road-service trucks?

Yes. Many of our clients run a mix of in-shop work, mobile service and deliveries. We set up one program that classifies each operation correctly, so you aren’t overpaying or left with gaps.
